What do you do at PYHII and (what do you love about it)?

Put Your Heart Into It- The very name expresses what is most important for me when I work. This beautiful quote by Kahlil Gibran sums up perfectly why I love working as an Event Manager with PHYII~

“And what is it to work with love? It is to weave the cloth with threads drawn from your heart, even as if your beloved were to wear that cloth.”

And this is exactly what we do at PYHII. And this is why I love it.

What do you do when you’re not at PYHII?

When I’m not at PYHII, I work at a wonderful live music venue here in Melbourne and throughout the year I work at multiple different festivals across the country. One of which is Garma Festival in Arnhem Land, NT. Over the past 6 years as a barista training facilitator, I have helped implement an Aboriginal employment training program for young women. Some of my most rewarding work so far.

When I’m at PYHII, as well as when I’m not, I enjoy laughing. A lot. And in my spare time I go searching for fun people, places, inanimate and animate objects that will help me achieve my goal of laughing so much that one day I’ll have a six-pack. Getting those abs to ‘perfection’ should be funny right?

What are your greatest pleasures? What do you do for kicks?

I take great pleasure in creating. Making lamps, drawing, and being inspired by other peoples creations. Dancing, laughing, cooking and eating delicious things are also some of my greatest pleasures.

What are you listening to / watching / following that makes you light up?

Music. All music. I love music. TED talks are always very inspiring. Falling down the rabbit hole that is Pintrest always makes my imagination light up and ideas rain like confetti…
